Property prices in Pétange and Rodange in 2026: what you need to know before selling

Apartments: around €6,600/m² on average

Between July 2025 and June 2026, 142 existing apartments were sold in the municipality of Pétange, at an average price of €6,606/m². These are actual prices, registered with the notary. Most sales fall between €4,473 and €8,687/m².

The market is stable: the average was €6,657/m² in 2024 and €6,531/m² in 2025.

Pétange remains one of the most affordable municipalities in the south of the country. Over the same period, the average price of an existing apartment was €6,427/m² in Esch-sur-Alzette, €6,768/m² in Differdange, €6,979/m² in Käerjeng, €7,149/m² in Sanem and €10,269/m² in Luxembourg City.

Houses: around €5,000/m² in listings

Between July 2025 and June 2026, 505 houses were put up for sale in the municipality, at an average asking price of €856,407, or €5,016/m².

After a peak of €5,654/m² in 2022, asking prices fell in 2023 (€5,196/m²) and in 2024 (€4,919/m²), then stabilised in 2025 (€5,037/m²).

• energy performance (the energy passport class);
• a garden, terrace or balcony;
• a garage or parking space;
• the floor and whether there is a lift;
• the street and surroundings: station, schools, shops, access to Belgium and France.
